About Axcess Ontario

Finger Lakes Regional Telecommunications Development Corporation (FLRTDC), doing business as Axcess Ontario, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit local development corporation with headquarters at 70 Ontario Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

The corporation was established on October 25, 2005. The Certification of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) was approved by the New York State Public Service Commission in January 2007 authorizing the corporation to operate as a Facilities Based Carrier in New York State.

On December 22, 2009, FLRTDC announced it is doing business under the name of Axcess Ontario.

Fiber Optic Backbone

Fiber route miles = 200+ miles around and through Ontario County, New York.
Services provided =  Dark fiber. Dark fiber allows for carriers and enterprise clients to establish and provide their own services countywide.
Axcess Ontario backbone fiber meets or exceeds ITU-T G.652.D specification.

Service Level Commitment

Axcess Ontario’s goal is to provide fiber service availability of 99.999%.
Mean time to respond = 2 hours
Mean time to repair = 4 hours
The network is actively monitored 24/7.
Round-the-clock customer support is provided 24/7 through the Axcess Ontario Operations Center via (877) 357-8329.
